What's It All About?
Cycing for Libraries is an international professional "unconference" for Librarians who love to add a bit of muscle, sweat, and scenery to their professional growth experience. The 2016 tour of public, academic, and special libraries will take us through about 250 miles (400 km) of beautiful Southern Ontario.
We'll bicycle from library to library to learn from colleagues about their unique approaches to delivering resources and serving their diverse patrons through instruction, reference, educational programming and more. The theme this year is "Multicultural Canada: How do libraries foster inclusion and social cohesion in Canada's multicultural communities?". |

My goals for the trip include learning new trends, technologies, and teaching techniques, gaining an international perspective of library instruction and services so I can better serve the international population at my college, and understanding the logistics of this innovative model of professional growth.
